Broker Lockton has announced the addition of Brendan Fitzpatrick to its Cyber & Technology Practice as vice president, cyber risk consultant.

Lockton said this strategic hire underscores its dedication to enhancing its cybersecurity and risk management offerings.

Fitzpatrick arrives at Lockton with nearly 15 years of extensive experience in cybersecurity improvement planning and operational resilience.

His career includes senior cybersecurity roles at Axio, the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, and the US Army Cyber Command.

In his new role, Fitzpatrick will focus on helping Lockton clients understand and strengthen their risk posture amid the ever-evolving cyber and privacy threat landscape.

His appointment signals Lockton’s recognition of the necessity for businesses to adopt holistic cyber risk management programs that extend beyond traditional insurance policies.

By integrating his exceptional expertise in cybersecurity risk control and resilience, Brendan’s work will empower businesses of all sizes to better navigate the constantly evolving threat landscape with greater confidence.”

Faylo further emphasized Lockton’s commitment to attracting top-tier talent, noting that Fitzpatrick’s addition to the team reflects the firm’s dedication to building risk management capabilities tailored to the exacting needs of their clients in their cybersecurity journeys. “The fact we are able to attract top-tier talent such as Brendan reflects our continued commitment to building risk management capabilities that meet our clients’ exacting needs in their cybersecurity journey,” she added.
