Lockton swoops on Berkshire Hathaway for US cyber claims lead

Lockton has appointed Deborah Hirschorn as US cyber and technology claims leader, to lead the overall strategic vision for Lockton’s cyber claims practice. 

Hirschorn joins Lockton from Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI). Lockton described her as having “extensive experience in cyber, technology errors and omissions and miscellaneous professional liability claims”. 

Prior to BHSI, Hirschorn was at AIG and before that she practiced insurance coverage law.

“When looking for the right person to fill this role, Deb immediately came to mind,” said Michelle Faylo, Lockton’s US cyber and technology practice leader. “She is not only a talented cyber insurance professional, but her history of building strong relationships with subject matter experts, clients, and colleagues makes her a perfect fit for Lockton and what we are building.”

Hirschorn is based in New York.
